"We must be Coconuts!" - The Story behind the Album

When writing a new album it is always a fun challenge to find inspiration. What is this new album going to sound like? What are the songs going to be about? One morning during breakfast we had the idea to let our fans choose everything about this album. The song titles, some of the lyrics, even the name of the album! Well, we started something big and the response was huge. The votes were counted and what you are hearing are the songs that were inspired by our fans. These songs were written backwards: starting with a song-title (maybe yours!), then creating the song from there!

Recording Time:

We decided to record right where the songs were written: in our tiny Kitchen and Living Room here in Toronto, ON. The neighbours were not overjoyed, but boy oh boy did we have fun. Everyday was a kitchen party with a bunch of our friends, their instruments in hand. There is something very natural about singing in your own kitchen...sometimes dinner was being made at the same time. I wonder if you can hear the water boiling on the stove.
